Holiday Events Approach in Forest Park
Deadlines are coming up to sign up for decorating trees, eating breakfast with Santa.
It's not quite Thanksgiving yet but already folks are getting prepped for Christmas.
And in Forest Park that means that two special Park District events are almost at hand.
The ever-popular Deck-A-Tree will be from Monday Dec. 3 to Thursday Dec. 6 at the park district headquarters, 7501 W. Harrison St. Trees will remain on display throughout the month.
Groups or individuals may decorate their own tree. Here's the deal: the park district will provide the tree and electricity. Make those ornaments nature friendly. The cost will be $35 before Nov. 22 for residents and $45 for non-residents. After that the cost goes up to $45 for residents and $55 for non-residents.
If you prefer for someone at the park district to decorate for you, here's the package: the park district will provide the tree, lights, ornaments and will even do it up. The cost of this Winter Wonderland package is $65 for residents before Nov. 22 and $80 for non-residents. After that the cost goes up to $75 for residents and $90 for non-residents.
Resident fee applies to Forest Park residents, groups or businesses.
