2012 Forest Park Holiday Walk in Photos

Patch was out at Forest Park's Holiday Walk taking pictures of you and your neighbors. Take a look at what we captured.

Busy streets and packed stores, smiling faces and happy families: It seemed like everyone was in the holiday spirit at Forest Park's Holiday Walk on Friday night.

Mayor Anthony Calderone welcomed Santa and Mrs. Clause as they arrived by Forest Park fire truck to Constitution Court. Together—and with the help of some very excited children—they counted down the lighting of the village Christmas tree.

Shop owners decorated up their front windows to an amazing degree. I think my personal favorites were Todd and Holland, Yearbook and Intuit Dance Studio—but there were a lot of really good ones.

A special note should also be made for the neat Christmas tree made out of metal piping at Schauer Hardware—nice touch, guys!

I saw lots of great gift ideas in the various shops. Stay tuned for our local business gift guide coming out soon.
