Meth Chic: LaGrange-Area Meth Suspect Busted in 'Breaking Bad' Attire

Breaking Bad fan arrested for second time running his own meth lab, sheriff says.

Sheriff's deputies busted a meth lab run by a young LaGrange man clad in a "Los Pollos Hermanos" t-shirt — the restaurant front for the meth dealer in the TV show Breaking Bad.

Cook County sheriff's officers went to Daniel Kowalski's house in the 1000 block of 61st Street in unincorporated Cook County near LaGrange Monday evening and found a fully operational meth lab. The 21-year-old Kowalski was on electronic home monitoring after a July 2013 bust for running a meth lab.

He's charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials and possession of materials needed to produce methamphetamine.

Glass beakers, burners, chemicals, and 12 jars of psychedelic mushrooms were found in the house, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Department.

Sheriff Tom Dart tweeted the news: "For those asking, Daniel Kowalski was actually wearing a @Los_Pollos_ABQ shirt at the time of arrest."
