Forest Park to Offer Health, Social Services Fair

Screenings, driver's license renewal and more Nov. 14.

Need to be screened for cholesterol? How is your eyesight? Is your license up for renewal?

The Howard Mohr Community Center, 7640 Jackson Blvd., Forest Park, will be a one-stop shop for all of that and more from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14. The services are free and open to the public.

Medical facilities will be on hand to do thyroid, cholesterol and prostate screenings. Tests for diabetes will be offered as will screenings for bone density and blood pressure. Vision testing, lasik, cataract and glaucoma screenings also will be offered.

In addition,representatives from various Cook County offices, including the state's attorney's office, board of review and treasurer will answer questions. Experts from the Social Security Administration also will be on hand. Village staff and elected officials also will be taking queries from those in attendance.
