Forest Park Preschool Program Full, Wait List Started

District program an effort to counter shrinking enrollment trend, the Forest Park Review reports.

The new half-day preschool program in Forest Park Elementary School District 91 is already full with 90 students signed up for the 2013-14 school year, the Forest Park Review reported Tuesday

Offered through a collaboration with the Park District of Forest Park and the West Suburban Special Recreation Association (WSSR), the preschool program is for children ages three to five, and will be held at Garfield School and at the Park District of Forest Park.

According to the Review, District 91 is offering the preschool as an effort to counter a shrinking enrollment trend. District officials told the Review there is a waiting list for the program, which offers six half-day, 15-student sections.
