Proviso Schools to Host Principal Meet-and-Greets

Proviso Township High Schools District 209 will host a series of principal Meet and Greets Aug. 12 through 15 to introduce students, parents, and the community to their principals, according to the district. 

Proviso Math and Science Academy will host its Principal Meet and Greet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 12, while the event at Proviso West High School, with its new principal, Oscar Hawthorne, will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14. Proviso East High School students and parents can meet with Principal Tony Valente from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15.

Each principal will be charged with executing their individual school improvement plans and boosting student achievement, according to the district. During the Principal Meet and Greet, each principal will have an opportunity to meet parents, students, teachers, and Proviso stakeholders. They will outline the goals and plans for each of their schools and welcome the community to what is expected to be a fantastic new school year.

Wednesday, Aug. 14

Proviso West High School Principal Meet and Greet, Proviso West High School, 4701 W. Harrison, Hillside, 6:30-8 p.m. 

Thursday, Aug. 15

Proviso East High School Principal Meet and Greet, Proviso East High School, 807 S. First Ave., Maywood, 6:30-8 p.m.
